All right, a lot of people are having issues in regard on how to use LJ codes and HTML codes. So I shall tell you!





§ LJ Codes

<lj user="journalname">     LJ username tag. Will display something like this: thefaerieknight

Okay, before I give you the tag for the LJ-cut, let me quickly explain what it does. If you have a really long entry, the LJ cut will "hide" all the text between its tag and in the main journal will display a sort of link that a user can click to reveal the rest of the entry. To make sure you did the cut correctly, view your journal, not the entry. If you just view the entry, it will show all the information regardless of the cut.

It is IMPORTANT that you have both tags, the one before the part you are cutting, the end tag which goes after the text that you are cutting. If you look at any of the entries in this journal you'll see a few of them use the lj cut. They are not links. Well they in a sense, but not HTML links.


§ HTML Codes

Very basic stuff here. You must have the end tag or the code effect will continue until it hits an end tag or the end of the entry, which can suck.

<b>text</b>     This will make the text bolded.
<i>text</i>     This will make the text italicized.
<u>text</u>     This will make the text underlined.
<strike>text</strike>     This will make the text have a strike through it.

<font size="1">text</font>     This will make the text small.
<font size="3">text</font>     This will make the text large.
<font color="red">text</font>     This will make the text change color depending on the color you use. You can also use the hexidecimal codes.

You can use any number from 1 through pretty much infinity though after a certain number the size of the text will stop increasing. The small the number, the smaller the size. Larger the number, larger the size.

<a href="url">Link name</a>     Creates a link.
<a href="url" target="_blank">Link name</a>     Creates a link that will open the page in a new window or tab, depending on the browser settings.

<img src="url">     Display an image.

If you want to know how to make the special characters like ♥, visit this page~ I usually use the numpad (Alt+#) and for the heart it's Alt+3. Whatever suits your fancy~

Some of this information will mirror things asked for the application form. This is just to allow you to go into more in depth description about your character. Feel free to create more in depth essays and use this as a gloss instead if the information becomes to long for your taste.

[Fighting] Can other characters fight/injure/kill your character? You can also mention how well your character is at fighting and if he/she would invoke fights.
